7 Churches Pilgrimage

Among the itineraries within the city of Rome there is the historic tradition of the ‘Seven Churches Pilgrimage’. This pilgrimage, an idea of St Philip Neri in the 16th century, is an old Roman tradition. It covers about 25 kilometers and winds through the whole city, reaching out into the Roman countryside and the catacombs and involves visits to some of the most magnificent basilicas in Rome.

Join us for a spiritual pilgrimage around San Gabriel Valley to help us enter into the most sacred time of the year: The Holy Triduum, which begins with the Holy Thursday Mass & Washing of the Feet. Following that solemn service, Jesus in the Eucharist is placed on an Altar of Repose, symbolizing the place Jesus was held before His Passion and Death, where you are invited to spend the final moments with Him before Good Friday, the only day on the Catholic liturgical calendar when Mass is not celebrated (and every tabernacle on Earth is empty).

Meet us at any or all of the 7 Churches AND at an 11 PM closing Holy Hour at St. Philip's Holy Angel Hall.

This is a continuation of our parish collaborations with the Pasadena Eucharistic Revival as well as our Nine First Fridays devotion, preparing for our nation's consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June. With any questions, contact Krista!
