 2018 Stewardship2018 Annual Stewardship Appeal

If you are new to St. Philip the Apostle or to pledging, welcome! If you are one of our many active pledgers, thank you for your loyal support and your faithful commitment to the St. Philip the Apostle community! As a friend or member of this parish, each of us has the privilege of caring for others in our church and neighborhood and working together to grow and strengthen our parish.  As we are reminded:

Acts 20:35

     "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and

     remember the words  of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

As Stewards of God's gifts, we are not passive beneficiaries. We cooperate with God in our own redemption and in the redemption of others. We are also obliged to be stewards of the Church in continuing the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, which is the Church's essential mission. This mission — proclaiming and teaching, serving and sanctifying—is our task. It is the personal responsibility of each one of us. We each have our own role to play in carrying out this mission:

             Parents, who nurture their children in the light of faith;

             Parishioners, who work in concrete ways to make our parish a true community of faith and a
               vibrant source of
service to those in need;

             All Catholics, who give generous support — time, money, prayers, and personal service according to their                  circumstances — to support our Parish and other diocesan programs.

Central to our Christian vocation and to the unique vocation each one of us receives from God, is that we be good stewards of the gifts we possess. Please join in supporting the 2018 Annual Stewardship Appeal as generously as possible. We are so much stronger together, and our community depends upon us!
